Associate Veterinarian: Are you looking for an Alaskan Adventure? Do you dream of the northern lights? We are looking for a FULL time associate GP veterinarian for a small animal practice in Fairbanks AK. Practice offers good work life balance for all employees so you can explore nearby Denali, soak in the Chena Hot Springs, or take that fishing trip. NO ON CALL and veterinarians usually leave work at 5pm. Modern equipment including Cornerstone software, dental X-ray, new ultrasound, digital X-ray, and in house Idexx lab equipment. Veterinarians are given opportunity and support to grow their interests and develop professionally. Great support staff utilizing LVTs creates our pleasant work environment. References for the practice are available.

Licensed Veterinary Technician: The primary function of the veterinary technician is assisting the veterinarian in providing medical care and essential job functions include, but are not limited to: Perform treatments and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian. Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs. Anesthetize animals and monitor anesthesia under the direction and supervision of the veterinarians. Assists receptionists with triage and incoming patients. Communicate with clients/owners about status of patients as directed by the veterinarian. Fill prescriptions. Participate in all staff and technician/assistant mandatory meetings. Duties may include but are not limited to checking patients in, collecting deposits and payments, answering client questions in person and on the telephone, helping to keep the clinic clean, doing laundry, cleaning cages, cleaning/sterilizing surgical instruments, etc. Must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with peers, superiors, customers and Veterinarians. Must exhibit professionalism in behavior and performance at all times.
